Overview
Join us in conversation with Kate Fielding, CEO of national think tank A New Approach (ANA), for a post-Budget update focused on arts and culture.
Engage in a discussion on the Federal Budget implications for cultural engagement by the Australian public, the impacts on Australia's cultural and creative industries and what this means for philanthropy. In this discussion, Kate will draw on ANA's new report analysing the last 15 years of cultural funding by the three levels of government, as well as insights from ANA's sentiment research with middle Australia. Kate will also reflect on how arts and culture impacts relate directly to pressing public policy issues facing Australia.
If you haven't yet seen it, the 2023 National Press Club Address by ANA Chair Rupert Myer is a great introduction to ANA's vision for Australia becoming a cultural powerhouse whose compelling creativity is locally loved, nationally valued and globally influential.
A New Approach (ANA) is Australia’s national arts and culture think tank. ANA bridges the gap between knowledge and policy. ANA was initiated by a consortium of philanthropists and is 100% funded by philanthropy, giving ANA unique independence from both government and industry. ANA's Board of Directors and expert Reference Group are all policy, business, investment and cultural leaders who bring a wide range of experiences and perspectives.
Audience
This event is for Philanthropy Australia funders at the New Gen, Active, Engaged or Impact membership tier only.
