Overview
Corporate Philanthropy and ESG initiatives are increasingly interconnected, reflecting a broader trend of aligning business practices with social and environmental responsibility. At the session we will hear from:
Justine Felton & Bonny Bayne, Stockland
Stockland’s recent refreshed ESG strategy is focused on integrated, commercially sustainable solutions focussing on Decarbonisation, Circularity, Social Impact and Resilience.
Hear from Justine and Bonny on Stockland’s four pillar sustainability strategy and how the Foundation and sustainability teams work together to create both environmental and social impact.
With a commitment to create over $1bn in social value by 2030 they will talk to how they are using social value methodology that has been developed into a digital tool to forecast social value and embed social outcomes into business decision making.
James Aiken, QBE Foundation
The session will showcase how the QBE Foundation strategy is an enabler to deliver on QBE’s sustainability objectives and key focus areas in the community. The QBE Foundation’s vision focusses on creating strong, resilient and inclusive communities through two key areas (inclusion and climate resilience) to drive social impact across its countries of operation.
With a practical focus on the "environmental" aspect of ESG, this presentation will highlight the Foundation's approach to addressing their climate resilience objectives and how key global and local partnerships drive impact and emerging new investment models. Finally, and core to the QBE approach, how QBE captures and reports on social impact through the Business for Societal Impact (B4SI) methodology and the link back to Sustainability reporting.
