Overview
Part 2 of the series aims to bring awareness to individuals and organisations, advancing conversations about learning good practice approaches around gender. This is an excellent opportunity to hear from different perspectives from diverse speakers engaging in philanthropy.

Presenters

Georgia Mathews - Director, Georgia Mathews Consulting
Georgia (she/her) is a philanthropic consultant and respected leader with a decade of experience in the field. She has held management and executive positions at a range of philanthropic institutions, most recently as Director of Philanthropy at Australian Communities Foundation. She has had a significant impact on the field through the establishment of several award-winning philanthropic initiatives, the publication of research, and support for sector education and development.
Georgia brings together her skills and experience to support clients in the effective redistribution of wealth, with a focus on social justice philanthropy principles. In addition to her freelance work, Georgia is Chair of GiveOUT, Co-chair of the NEXUS Australia Advisory Committee and an Affiliated Consultant with Ktisis Capital.

Julie Reilly OAM - CEO, Australian's Investing In Women
Currently the Chief Executive Officer of Australians Investing in Women (AIIW), Julie Reilly is passionate about growing philanthropy for women and girls. She has worked across government, corporate, NFP, in media and the university sector - winning an Excellence Award for her work in gender at Swinburne University of Technology. Julie received the Pro Bono’s IMPACT 25 Award in 2014 and in 2017 was named Herald Sun’s 50 Women in Victoria You Should Know.
Julie has undertaken a Churchill Fellowship to study global strategies for growing philanthropy for women and girls and currently holds Advisory Board roles with Perpetual Foundation, Canadian based G(irls)20 and MECCA’s M-Power Program. For 25 years she co-produced Myer’s annual Spirit of Christmas CD which raised over $8.5m for charity.
In 2021 Julie was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the charitable sector.

Natalie Wade - Founder and Principal Lawyer, Equality Lawyers
Natalie is a prominent disability rights lawyer and advocate. Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Natalie is the Founder and Principle Lawyer Director of Equality Lawyers, a disability-led, disability rights law firm providing premium legal services to the disability community.
Natalie is an authentic leader who believes in designing law reform, public policy and community campaigns through lived experience and expertise. Current campaigns Natalie is leading alongside other human rights champions include Welcoming Disability to address equitable migrant rights for people with disabilities and their families, HR4SA to call for Human Rights Act in SA and the POS Coalition, to provide civil society's response to the Disability Royal Commission's recommendations to phase out segregation in education, housing and employment settings.
In 2021, Natalie authored Disability Rights in Real Life, a practical handbook for disabled people, their families and allies on everyday disability rights law.
Natalie holds several senior advisory roles including on the Australian Disability Strategy Advisory Council and the SA Premier's Council for Women.
She was a finalist for the women of the year award for SA in 2024.
