Overview

Partnerships with grant partners sit at the heart of how many family foundations approach their giving. These partnerships can look very different depending on purpose, values and capacity.

This peer-led session will explore a range of partnership models used by family foundations, creating space for open and practical discussion about:

  • Different ways family foundations partner with grantees
  • The benefits, trade-offs and challenges of various approaches
  • How to right-size partnerships to context, scale and capability
  • What supports clarity, trust and mutual success in long-term relationships
  • How family foundation approaches differ from institutional philanthropy

You will hear directly from family foundations as they share real-world reflections on what has worked, what has been challenging, and what they have learned along the way.
