Overview

With the release of the final report of the Productivity Commission’s philanthropy inquiry, Philanthropy Australia is engaging with our members to shape our response to the report’s recommendations and inform our discussions with the Australian Government about next steps. Members are invited to join this webinar hosted by CEO Maree Sidey and Executive Director for Policy, Government Relations and Research, Krystian Seibert. Maree and Krystian will share Philanthropy Australia’s initial thinking about key recommendations and answer questions. This online gathering will be complemented by various face to face engagement opportunities across Australia, enabling members to share their views and perspectives.

Krystian Seibert – Executive Director – Policy, Government Relations and Research at Philanthropy Australia

Krystian leads the policy advocacy efforts at Philanthropy Australia. Prior to this role, he served as an Associate Commissioner at the Productivity Commission, appointed by the Australian Government to jointly lead a wide-ranging inquiry focused on philanthropy. He has extensive experience shaping policy and regulatory frameworks applying to philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector. 

 

 

 

Maree Sidey – Chief Executive Officer at Philanthropy Australia

Maree joined Philanthropy Australia in June 2024, after nine successful years as CEO of Australian Communities Foundation (ACF), Australia’s only nationally-focused community foundation.

Maree is a passionate For Purpose/Social Business leader and social change advocate, a specialist in strategy, advocacy, communication, and transformative change. She is an experienced CEO with an outstanding reputation for leading purpose driven organisations in Australia.
