Facilitator

Ollie Hanson - Director, Engagement (WA/SA) at Philanthropy Australia

Ollie is passionate about leveraging philanthropy to drive positive social impact and leads Philanthropy Australia’s engagement efforts in Western Australia and South Australia.

With over 15 years of experience in the philanthropic sector, Ollie’s career spans major gift fundraising at the University of Melbourne, international grantmaking and partnerships at the Minderoo Foundation, and corporate sustainability at Bankwest.

He is deeply committed to First Nations self-determination and played a pivotal role in establishing the Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity program in 2016, a groundbreaking initiative that fosters Indigenous-led social change across Australia, Aotearoa, and the Pacific Islands.

Yean Ng - Engagement Lead (WA) at Philanthropy Australia

Yean has been working in the for-purpose sector for a decade. At Philanthropy Australia, he hopes to help create an environment where the organisations solving local issues have access to the capital and resources they need to be sustainable, resilient and innovative.

Prior to this, Yean was the Chief Financial Officer at Dismantle, a not-for-profit social enterprise helping young people at risk of long-term unemployment. He has a breadth of experience in partnership building, fundraising and impact investing. Yean is a Global Shaper with the Global Shapers Perth Hub, a grassroots initiative of the World Economic Forum.
