About Summit

What is the history of Summit?

Now in its tenth year, Philanthropy Australia’s biennial Summit has been a major thought leadership event. First held in 2015, as the Philanthropy Meets Parliament Summit, it has helped to build a stronger relationship between philanthropy, our elected representatives and policy makers.

Program

Philanthropy Australia is currently working on program content and format, with input from a small group of external advisors. More details of the program and speakers will be available over the coming weeks.

Participants

Who can attend the Leadership Summit? is Summit for?

450 (max) leaders and emerging leaders from philanthropy, not-for-profit and government, including:

  • Community leaders and emerging leaders
  • For-purpose leaders and emerging leaders
  • Philanthropic Trustees and Board Directors, CEOs and emerging leaders
  • Members of Parliament, senior bureaucrats and public service leaders
  • Scholarship recipients - to ensure accessibility and inclusion. (The scholarships are supported by Leadership Summit partners.)

What is the EOI process?

Engage members, connect members and non-members will need to complete an EOI form to apply to attend the Leadership Summit. This will ensure we have a diverse mix of participants from varying backgrounds. Once the EOI process has closed, an internal committee will review the applications and confirm who is eligible.

Scholarships

We have a limited number of scholarships available for First Nations leaders and leaders from small not-for-profit organisations.

The scholarship will cover the price of the 1-day Philanthropy Leadership Summit pass (Wednesday 6 August) only. The Pre-Summit Dinner, half-day Funder Roundtables and other expenses such as travel and accommodation are not included in the scholarship.

Anyone wanting to apply for a scholarship will need to complete the EOI form and indicate if they are interested in applying.

Cancellation

What if I need to cancel my registration?

Requests for cancellation received by Philanthropy Australia at least 35 days prior to the Leadership Summit will receive a full refund of registration fees, less an administration charge of 15%. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded. Please review Philanthropy Australia's Events Cancellation Policy.
